What is the Trail of Treasures?

TRAIL OF TREASURES ™

It is a 238-mile (+) stretch of yard sales along Nebraska Byway136 Heritage Highway from Brownville to Edison, Nebraska, plus another 135 miles extending to the Colorado State Line. 17 counties along Byway 136 Heritage Highway work together to organize a three-day event to promote our towns, our businesses and our people.

WHAT & WHO IS A TRAIL OF TREASURES™ VENDOR?

A Vendor is anyone who hosts/sells…. A garage sale, food, merchandise, services,

etc. Anyone can be a vendor but only REGISTERED VENDORS ARE OFFICIALLY PART OF THE TRAIL OF TREASURES™ AND WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SHOPPERS GUIDE.

WHAT IS AN AREA VENDOR?

Anyone who legally resides within one of the Heritage Highway Organization’s counties. The seventeen (17) counties that make up the Heritage Highway area are: Franklin, Furnas, Gage, Harlan, Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Nuckolls, Thayer, Webster plus the corridor counties of Dundy, Hitchcock, Otoe, Pawnee, Red Willow, Richardson, and Saline.

OUT-OF-AREA VENDOR:

If you live anywhere else, you are an “Out of Area” Vendor.

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY REGISTRATION FEE?

ADVERTISING….. Registration fees are used for Advertising the Trail of Treasures™ and your sale. Ads are placed in magazines/travel guides, newspapers, radio & television stations, & on Heritage Highway 136’s website and social media sites.
Your sale address and sale items are listed in the Official Trail of Treasures™ SHOPPER GUIDE.
A VENDOR NUMBER…… Each Registered Vendor is assigned a Vendor Number. That number will be placed beside your listing of sale items AND on the town map….at the address you give us. This is the number that you will use on your Vendor Signs.
TWO VENDOR SIGNS…… These signs are professionally printed & are designed to display your Vendor number & will direct shoppers to your sale or business. These signs tell shoppers that you are a Registered Vendor and you support the OFFICIAL Trail of Treasures ™.
All signs will be delivered to your town coordinator on or about Sept. 20^th. You will pick up your signs at that time.
